Another classy performance from the team today in our very first cup game of the season against a well-organised Shifnal Lionesses side!
🛡️ Defensively: Incredibly solid and so composed throughout.
⚙️ Midfield: Controlled the tempo and dictated play.
⚡ Attack: A constant nuisance for the opposition defence.
We asked the girls to stay focused today and they certainly delivered. We opened the scoring after a swift pass directly out of defence was met with a brilliant, classy touch from our attacker to put us 1–0 up. Shortly after, we doubled our advantage to head into the interval 2–0 ahead!
We picked up right where we left off in the second half. The third goal came from a absolute thunderbolt from outside the area that kissed the post on its way in! 🚀
